Cupra and performance tuning arm ABT have revealed new handcrafted exterior design packages for the Formentor and Leon ranges, debuted at the Red Bull Ring in Austria.
The ‘Custom Cupra by ABT’ pack is said to bring “the sporty DNA of the Cupra Leon VZ TCR and Cupra Formentor VZ5 to every engine variant”, and in Europe at least will be available for new orders or as a dealer-fitted accessory package from July 2026.

Highlights include an extended roof spoiler, more prominent splitters, as well as special alloy wheels in differing sizes depending on variant. The appearance package also swaps out the copper Cupra logos for Dark Chrome units, which are currently only available on select special editions from the factory.
Each package includes components that are assembled by hand at the Cupra Racing Factory at the brand’s home in Martorell, Spain, near Barcelona. Read more on each Custom Cupra by ABT package below.
Cupra Leon
Both the Leon Hatch and Sportstourer wagon are available with the Custom Cupra by ABT package, including the “competition-bred” Leon VZ TCR which is based on the Nürburgring-reigning Golf GTI Edition 50.

Key upgrades include a new front splitter and side skirts, bolstered by an upgraded rear spoiler, winglets, C-flap mouldings, and a redesigned rear diffuser with “lateral decoratives”.
Standard Leon models get 19-inch ‘Mistral’ alloy wheels in ‘sport black matt’ finish, while the Leon VZ gets 19-inch ‘Custom’ alloy wheels in the same matte black finish. Select powertrain variants – namely the 221kW VZ, 239kW VZ TCR and 245kW Sportstourer VZ – also get wider high-performance tyres.
There’s ABT branding on the roof spoiler, as well as Cupra exterior logos in Dark Chrome which help to “reinforce the exclusivity of the customisation” according to the Spanish brand.

Cupra Formentor
Like its hatchback and wagon stablemates, the popular Formentor crossover SUV receives similar upgrades with the ABT package, echoing the “rebellious spirit” of the five-cylinder Formentor VZ5.

The front end receives a new splitter and front air curtain frames designed to “intensify” the Formentor’s stance, augmented at the rear by a large roof spoiler and C-flap mouldings.
Down the sides, new door mouldings give the impression of a lower ride height, while 19-inch custom alloy wheels in matte black with ABT branding are said to “anchor this commanding, track-inspired design”.
Further, Dark Chrome finish for the exterior Cupra badging is applied here.
The Audi-powered Formentor VZ5 removes the ABT front and rear splitters, and also adds model-specific 20-inch alloy wheels in gloss black.
