Jaguar Land Rover Australia is recalling over 23,000 vehicles across the Land Rover Defender, Land Rover Discovery, and Range Rover model lines for an issue that may prevent their driver’s airbag from deploying.
“Due to a manufacturing defect, the connection to the driver’s airbag clock spring may corrode over time and lead to an increased resistance in the airbag circuit,” the company says in its recall notice.
“As a result, the airbag may fail to deploy in the event of an accident.
“In the event of an accident, the airbag not deploying as intended could increase the risk of injury or death to vehicle occupants.”

- A total of 23,113 vehicles are affected across the Land Rover Defender, Discovery and Range Rover lines, produced between 2019 and 2026
