Suzuki Australia has teased the Jimny Rhino 4×4 ahead of a planned unveiling in June, before it arrives in local showrooms later this year.

The company has revealed little else about the vehicle, which appears in a series of teaser images as a five-door Jimny XL finished in Kinetic Yellow – a colour currently exclusive to the three-door model outside of Queensland – paired with a black roof.

While the Rhino name hasn’t previously been used in Australia, it has appeared on more rugged-looking special editions of the Jimny overseas, typically featuring cosmetic upgrades and unique badging.

It’s unclear whether the Rhino will be offered as a limited-run model or become a permanent addition to the Australian Jimny lineup.

The teaser images show a graphics package running along the doors, highlighted by Rhino branding on the front doors.

There’s also a unique alloy wheel design, which appears to retain the standard 15-inch sizing and 195/80 tyres.

The Rhino continues to use road-focused tyres rather than all-terrains, though they appear different to any currently offered through Suzuki Australia’s accessories catalogue.

Suzuki has yet to confirm any other changes or pricing for the Rhino package, nor whether it will be exclusive to the five-door Jimny XL, which is priced from $40,490 drive-away with a five-speed manual transmission, or $42,990 drive-away with the four-speed automatic.
