Kia Australia is recalling V6-powered examples of the current-generation Carnival people mover as loose nuts could lead to a vehicle fire.
“Due to a manufacturing defect, the high-pressure fuel pipe nuts may be insufficiently torqued and could become loose over time,” the company says in its recall notice.

“This may lead to a fuel leak and in the presence of an external ignition source, could result in a vehicle fire.
“A vehicle fire could cause injury or death to vehicle occupants, other road users or bystanders and/or damage to property.”
The recall affects only vehicles with the 3.5-litre petrol V6, not the four-cylinder diesel or hybrid powertrains also offered in the Carnival.
- A total of 5761 vehicles are affected, produced between 2020 and 2025

If you own an affected vehicle, you’ll need to schedule an appointment with an authorised Kia dealership to have the fuel pipe inspected and replaced, free of charge.
