The Xiaomi YU7 GT electric performance SUV has been revealed, packing a supercar-like 738kW peak power output and a Ferrari Purosangue-aping five-door body presented in Cherry Red paintwork.

According to CarNewsChina, the five-door GT was described by Xiaomi – a smartphone-turned-automaker which launched its first model, the SU7, in 2023 – as a “pure-blooded GT”.

It’s the halo model for the YU7 range, which is already offered in three grades – YU7, YU7 Pro and YU7 Max – offering up to 508kW/866Nm.

The Xiaomi brand is not currently present in Australia, and the YU7 is not expected to become available here any time soon.

The new GT’s Italian-inspired body follows the visual theme of the SU7, including scalloped ‘water drop’ headlights, smooth lines with flush door handles, frameless side window glass, and a swooping roofline.

The images show the optional 24K carbon-fibre pack, comprising 22-inch Michelin-shod alloy wheels, Brembo carbon-ceramic brakes, and more aggressive bumpers including a vertical blade-style diffuser at the rear.

There’s also a ducktail spoiler and ‘halo’ tail-lights at the rear of the car, which measures 5015mm long, 2007mm wide and 1597mm tall.

The YU7 GT has a dual-motor powertrain, with a 288kW front and a 450kW rear motor enabling a combined output of 738kW to be sent to all four wheels.
