In 2026, it’s a well-established notion that any sentence prefaced with “Florida man” or “Florida woman” will end with you scratching your head and wondering how someone could ever find themselves in such a situation. Today, our “you’ve got to be kidding me” moment from the Sunshine State involves an unwitting driver going Grave Digger on a very expensive Italian supercar. Aside from being a total fever-dream scenario, it raises questions of safety that many believe legislation should be asking itself.

Florida Woman’s Insurance Rep Is About To Have A Heart Attack

The scene was one of literal disbelief in a Crunch Fitness parking lot in Florida, as onlookers saw what appeared to be a run-of-the-mill collision — not uncommon in parking lots across the globe. It was only when spectators got closer that they realized what was under the lifted three-ton Chevy pickup. Underneath sat a sleek black sports car. A $340,000 Lamborghini Huracán, to be precise.

The driver of the lifted Chevy allegedly hadn’t even realized what she’d hit until she descended the lifted truck to find the Lambo under her tires. The driver of the Huracan, Ramon Ferrer, was looking for a parking spot when his Italian supercar was mounted by what we can only assume from his point of view to be a three-story condo complex. The intersecting of these two vehicles in particular is something right out of a bad joke: a low-slung Lamborghini with a sharp, downward-pointed nose, and a lifted truck that is already a safety hazard in and of itself. It’s likened to an intrusive thought scenario, where you just want to see if what you imagine happening would actually happen; it does.

Another Reason Why Everybody Hates Lifted Trucks

Video analysis of the accident shows the driver of the lifted pickup moving faster than what is usually recommended in a parking lot (that tracks for the lifted/squatted truck ilk), which is no doubt a contributor to this whole mess, but another concern that echoed throughout the world long before today is on full display. The trend of lifted trucks definitely isn’t for everybody, and a majority of drivers will tell you that it’s a safety hazard. They’re not wrong in their belief, as being that high off the ground creates considerable blind spots that could endanger anything in its path, including people.

No One Was Harmed, Though The Huracan Will Need Some TLC

Thankfully, all parties seemed to have escaped without serious injury. Unfortunately, the Huracan will be heading to the shop for repairs. Ramon Ferrer, a Cuban-born entrepreneur and driver of the Italian supercar, later posted on his Instagram, stating,

Today I was born again. Thank you God for another day and another chance. Material things don’t matter to me — my health is the main thing. Nothing stops us, there is much more to grow.

He remains in good spirits, even though his ‘dream car’ — his words — was just destroyed by a careless driver in the worst possible way. We can only hope that this video sparks the conversation about lifted pickup safety at a higher level, since this is undoubtedly not an isolated incident. Just the only one where a gorgeous Lamborghini was involved. The whole paradox of the lifted truck phenomenon is that, oftentimes, it’s the worst drivers behind the wheel of the road’s most dangerous machines.
