The 2026 Kia EV6 will start from $72,660 before on-road costs, with price rises of just $70 across each of the four model grades.
The modest price increase coincides with updated exterior styling, cabin tweaks and a larger battery designed to deliver improved driving range.
The updated lineup is due in showrooms “imminently”, according to a Kia Australia release.
Every EV6 is now fitted with the same 84kWh lithium-ion battery pack, replacing the previously offered 77.4kWh unit.
The entry-level Air RWD gains an additional 54km of range, and is now rated at a claimed 582km under the WLTP test cycle.
The GT-Line RWD has 560km, with the range dropping to 522km in the GT-Line AWD and 450km in the GT.

The update also brings a revised front bumper and new ‘Star Map’ headlights and daytime running lights (DRLs).
At the rear, the EV6 receives a new bumper with ‘Star Map’-themed tail-lights, as well as a revised wing shape Kia says better ties the front and rear designs together.
New alloy wheel designs are also offered, ranging from 19 to 21 inches in diameter, while driving dynamics are said to be improved in the flagship GT through suspension changes for Australian conditions, including stiffer front and rear anti-roll bars and softer front springs.
Kia promises the GT has greater grip and steering feedback.
Inside, the EV6’s cabin features a new steering wheel design and an updated centre console, with fingerprint recognition now available across the lineup.
Updated software for the twin 12.3-inch curved displays brings wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone connectivity, refreshed graphics, and Kia Connect – the brand’s connected services system enabling over-the-air (OTA) software updates.
There are no changes to the electric motors. The single-motor Air RWD continues with outputs of 168kW and 350Nm, while the dual-motor AWD EV6 offers a combined 239kW and 605Nm. The flagship GT AWD dual-motor variant retains its 430kW and 740Nm outputs.
Like the Hyundai Ioniq 5 and Ioniq 6 it shares components with, Australian sales of the EV6 slowed in 2025, with the Kia suffering one of the largest sales slides at 80.5 per cent compared to the previous year.
