My life is a whirlwind, travelling around the country and across the world, for TV commentary and business commitments.

Don’t get me wrong, I love it. But it also makes me appreciate the comforts of home a lot more. You know, the simple things… my friends, family, the beaches, and my car, a Mahindra XUV700.

It’s the one thing that links them all together.

I’ve had the XUV700 for two years now, but my relationship with Mahindra goes way back to before I could even drive.

My father, Australian cricketing legend Matthew Hayden, has been an ambassador for the company for 10 years now. So, we’ve always had a Mahindra in the family for as long as I can remember.

In fact, I actually learnt how to drive in the Mahindra Pik-Up. On our family property, or when we would go on holidays to North Stradbroke Island, dad would always be in the front seat with me and taught me the ropes on how to drive a manual car. I was adamant I wanted a manual licence, so it was awesome to learn in the Pik-Up.

They are such a great car, and so capable in any conditions and any terrain. My brothers still love the Pik-Ups.
