Distributor Inchcape is recalling the new-generation Peugeot 3008 and 5008 crossover SUVs as a suspension defect could lead to drivers losing control of their vehicles.
“Due to a manufacturing defect, the ball joint brackets mounting bolts on the front lower suspension arm may break,” the company says in its recall notice.

“This may cause the wheel to change direction and result in a loss of vehicle control.
“A loss of vehicle control increases the risk of an accident causing serious injuries or death to the vehicle occupants and/or other road users.”
The recall affects the 3008 Allure Hybrid, 3008 GT Hybrid, 5008 Allure Hybrid and 5008 GT Hybrid as being affected, but also lists the electric 3008 GT which was never officially launched here.

- A total of 310 vehicles are affected, produced between 2024 and 2025

If you own an affected vehicle, you’ll need to schedule an appointment with an authorised Peugeot dealership to have the work carried out, free of charge.
