The Nissan Patrolhas been given its third price rise in 12 months, with a further $940 added to the price of all three model grades in Australian showrooms.

The entry-level Patrol Ti now starts at $96,540 before on-road costs; the mid-spec Patrol Ti-L is now priced from $108,040 before on-roads; and the Australian-developed Patrol Warrior now starts at $111,600 before on-roads.

The price increase isn’t as substantial as the previous rise last August, when an additional $5000 was added to the price of all three models, following increases of between $140 and $1340 with the MY25 update in April.

“The price adjustment reflects a combination of ongoing global and local cost pressures, including logistics, materials, and supplier costs,” a Nissan Australia spokesperson told CarExpert.

The increase as the Toyota LandCruiser 300 Series – which leads the upper-large SUV segment ahead of the Patrol – has copped $1000 price rises across its lineup, with Toyota offering a similar explanation for the move.

The Patrol has seen an increase in demand following confirmation the next-generation Patrol – codenamed Y63 – won’t offer the current 5.6-litre V8 engine, which produces 298kW and 560Nm and is paired with a seven-speed automatic transmission, when it arrives locally.

The Y63 will instead be offered with a twin-turbocharged 3.5-litre petrol V6 engine with more power and torque than the V8, at 317kW and 700Nm.

That mirrors what Toyota did with the LandCruiser 300 Series, which launched in October 2021 with a six-cylinder powertrain – albeit a diesel – replacing the previous V8.
