It’s been 250 years since the Declaration of Independence was signed, and to commemorate the semiquincentennial (try saying that three times fast), Dodge has partnered with America250 — a nonpartisan organization tasked by Congress to lead the commemoration — to create a vehicle that even the Founding Fathers would be proud of. And what other vehicle to represent true American pride than a big Hemi-powered SUV?

The 2026 Dodge Durango GT America250 (A250) Edition was created to mark the anniversary of a turning point not only in American history, but world history, as the signing of the Declaration sparked a revolution in the annals of democracy and freedom, as well as bringing about the birth of the United States of America. To drive home the overarching vibe of what that represents, the Durango A250 Edition takes on an all-American theme, which includes Black Laguna leather seats with blue perforation, American flag-embossed seats, red-and-white accent stitching, a tricolor-stitched steering wheel, Demonic Red seat belts, and forged carbon fiber appliques throughout.

The addition of such premium appointments, often reserved for the highest-spec models, to the GT lineup is significant on its own. Adding the Americanized design elements is just red, white, and blue icing on the cake.

This Dodge Durango A250 is a celebration of American performance, American attitude, and fittingly, America’s 250th birthday. Dodge has always stood for American muscle: speed, strength, and the unapologetic pursuit of automotive excitement. Today, we celebrate that legacy and the road ahead.

On the outside, buyers can option star-patterned dual racing stripes with blue tracer elements, signaling to all who observe that this one here’s for the Land of the Free. Other exterior elements include fender decals and badging that also represent A250’s mission to commemorate this moment in time. 20-inch Black Noise wheels pull the Durango A250 Edition’s overall themes of power and dominance together by highlighting the assertive nature of the build. Exterior color options include Red Oxide, White Knuckle, and dark blue Night Moves (Seger!); Destroyer Gray and Diamond Black are also on the menu.

Why This Special Durango Will Leave A Mark On American Auto Culture

Aside from the aforementioned design aspects and historical significance behind the model’s timing, the 2026 Durango GT A250 Edition will offer the option of a Hemi V8, alongside the Pentastar V6 option. The Hemi has been a cornerstone, if not THE cornerstone, of American automotive since the early days of the American muscle car revolution, making a name for itself by powering some of the most freedom-filled rides of all time throughout history. It represents American power, rebellion, and, above all, the unapologetic attitude that makes anyone driving one a total badass. In the A250 Edition Durango, it represents all-natural muscle, delivering 360 unfiltered horses.
