The results speak for themselves. The beastly Porsche 911 GT2 RS was a record holder at Road Atlanta until the ZR1 put its tech to the test and shaved a monumental two seconds off the 911’s time. A similar sort of magic happened again, this time at Road America, where the ZR1 clocked in a lap time of 2:08.6 seconds, which was a frankly ludicrous five seconds faster than the Porsche 911 GT3 RS track weapon. In its reign of terror, not only did it beat Porsche, but it also managed to outpace the $1.2 million McLaren Senna track-demon at Virginia International Raceway. This was all achieved from a car that costs $175,000, a $100,000 saving on the 2026 911 Turbo S.
