Acura Future Cars
2026 Acura RSX
The legendary RSX nameplate, once associated with a high-revving sports coupe, has been revived by Acura, but this time in the form of a crossover EV. Love it or hate it, the 2026 Acura RSX is here to make an impression as the newest Acura model available in the U.S.
The 2026 Acura RSX will be powered by dual electric motors and equipped with a double-wishbone suspension setup designed for enhanced responsiveness. Acura’s latest EV will be built on an entirely new Honda EV platform, produced right here at home at Honda EV Hub in Ohio. The RSX crossover will also be the debut of the ASIMO operating system, an in-house software developed by Honda that will further connect the driver and machine.
Afeela Future Cars
2026 Afeela 1
One of the automotive industry’s latest collaborations is Honda and Sony’s joint EV venture, Afeela. The Afeela 1 will be the brand’s first project, a luxury EV sedan projected for production in 2026 with the first deliveries available in mid-2026.
Hoping for an affordable EV? The Afeela 1 isn’t that car. With its $89,000 starting price for the Origin trim (deliveries beginning in 2027), we are talking top-tier executive sedan prices that rival those of the Lexus LS. The Afeela 1 Signature, the first trim to debut, will start at an even higher $102,900 price. The Afeela 1 will be built domestically at the same Honda EV Hub in Ohio as the 2026 Acura RSX and will offer up to 300 miles of driving range.
Alfa Romeo Future Cars
2028 Alfa Romeo Stelvio
The Alfa Romeo Stelvio SUV was expected to receive a new generation in 2027, but official FCA statements make it clear that this gorgeous Italian SUV will have its current generation’s shelf life extended until at least 2027.
This means the successor to the FCA Giorgio Platform-based Stelvio, which has been around mostly unchanged since its release in 2017, will not debut until the 2028 model year. This delay comes as a result of an internal strategic restructuring, as the Stelvio SUV is no longer fated to be exclusively an EV model for its next generation. Performance junkies, fret not, as this delay also means that Quadrifoglio versions of the Stelvio will be making a comeback, as internal combustion engines will still be the primary focus in the next generation.
2028 Alfa Romeo Giulia
The Alfa Romeo Stelvio SUV is set to be the first new model to debut from the brand, and the Alfa Romeo Giulia sport sedan will follow soon after. Currently, the new Alfa Romeo models share the FCA Giorgio Platform, but the next generation of both will be built on the STLA Large Longitudinal Platform.
This new Stellantis platform follows the strategy of releasing electric models first, with combustion models following after. The release of the next generation of Alfa Romeo vehicles has been delayed as they figure out which powertrains will be available and not, but expect more concrete details to be revealed about both these Italian models over the next couple of months.
Audi Future Cars
2027 Audi TT/Concept C
The latest evolution of Audi’s signature design takes on a new challenge: an all-electric two-seat sports car dubbed the Audi Concept C. While its exact production dates are still unconfirmed, this futuristic roadster can only be thought of as the spiritual successor to the Audi TT that we will see become a reality in the next couple of years.
While details about this sports car’s exact power figure or electric range are still unknown, we can say that, visually, it looks absolutely stunning and evokes emotions that Audi sports cars haven’t mustered in a long time. You can see the design accents of brand legends like the Audi R8 and Audi C6 RS6 all blended into a new and unmistakable aesthetic that we hope will be the future of Audi design.
BMW Future Cars
2026 BMW iX3
BMW’s debut “Neue Klasse” era model is the 2026 BMW iX3, a fully electric SAV (Sports Activity Vehicle). The BMW iX3 is built to usher in an entirely new era of BMW technology, and the iX3 is a showcase of what’s to come for the German luxury brand.
Most notably, the BMW iX3 will offer up to 400 miles of driving range, an unprecedented capability previously unavailable in any other electrified BMW product. BMW states a 21-minute minimum time to achieve a 10 to 80 percent charge at a DC fast charger. No stranger to controversy, BMW stirs the pot again with the introduction of “BMW Panoramic Vision”, their new instrument cluster/infotainment solution built in right below the sight line of the lower part of the windshield. Whether this new system is a genius move or an absolute travesty, only time will tell.
The 2026 BMW iX3 will be available in nine gorgeous paint colors, including the debut of Ocean Wave Blue Metallic and Space Silver Metallic, along with five unique upholstery options. Production has already begun for the electric BMW SUV, with the AWD 463-horsepower 2026 BMW iX3 50 xDrive being the first model available. Stateside customers should expect BMW’s newest product to hit showroom floors by the summer of 2026. The starting MSRP will be about $60,000, and single and dual-motor variants will be available in early 2027.
2028 BMW X5
The BMW X5 is one of the German brand’s bestsellers, and it is set for a new generation in 2028. This future generation of the leading BMW SUV will be the first BMW model offering five different drivetrain technologies (fully electric, plug-in hybrid, gas, diesel, and hydrogen fuel cell).
The BMW iX5 Hydrogen will be the first to lead the charge as the debut model in 2028. BMW states it is committed to hydrogen technology moving forward, as it has “an essential part” in global decarbonization. Toyota, the leader in hydrogen technology, has developed this third-generation fuel cell system in collaboration with BMW. The two global giants have been collaborating on hydrogen powertrains since 2014, but this time will be the first iteration of BMW’s own fuel cell system, with the individual cells coming from Toyota.
Cadillac Future Cars
2027 Cadillac XT5
Cadillac’s second-generation XT5 crossover SUV launched in China to impressive success in late 2024, but we won’t be getting it stateside until about 2027. However, this is no longer a rumor, but a fact, as the 2027 Cadillac XT5 was officially confirmed for North American production in Spring Hill, Tennessee.
The mass-appeal luxury crossover will be a big step forward for GM’s luxury brand, as it utilizes a hybrid powertrain in addition to other gas-powered models. To compete with segment leaders like the Lexus RX, Cadillac will need this new SUV to have an efficient and powerful powertrain while ensuring interior quality reaches new heights.
Chevrolet Future Cars
2026 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1X
Looking to strike fear into the heart of any living being within a mile radius? The 2026 Corvette ZR1X, with its 1,250 combined horsepower, should do the trick.
A hybrid all-wheel-drive mid-engined Corvette may not be for everybody, but when you consider its $200,000 price point, you understand this vehicle is only for a select few. Hypercar? Yes, that, and then some, because the 5.5-liter twin-turbo flat-plane crank V-8 already pushes out over 1,000 horsepower before we fiddle with any hybrid boosting. No road-legal vehicle should be this fast, and yet, you will soon be able to purchase the 2026 Corvette ZR1X before the end of the year.
2027 Chevrolet Bolt
On the absolute opposite of the spectrum, we have the 2027 Chevrolet Bolt, which is the American brand’s next generation of its compact crossover electric SUV. With a $28,595 starting price and 255 miles of range, this little SUV is set to be Chevy’s newest bestseller in the near future.
Its most notable feature is the 10 percent to 80 percent charging time of 26 minutes with 150 kW+ DC fast charging, which is 2.5 times faster than its predecessor. Standard features include a new 11.3-inch LCD infotainment screen, rear parking assist, and adaptive cruise control. Also, for the first time, the second-generation Bolt EV will be available in RS trim ($31,600), and we have to admit, this cute crossover looks darn good when equipped with it.
The RS trim also includes several exterior appearance upgrades, along with heated and ventilated front seats and multicolor ambient lighting. The new Bolt will also see the introduction of four new exterior paint colors, including Relic Green Metallic (LT only) and Atomic Yellow (RS only). Want to charge your new Bolt as quickly and efficiently as possible? You’ll be needing the $2,371 bidirectional GM Energy PowerShift Charging Package, which is the Bolt’s most expensive available option. Although we haven’t gotten behind the wheel of one yet, the overall package presented in the new Bolt looks appealing, and we are anxious to see how it excels in everyday urban situations. Be on the lookout soon, as the 2027 Chevrolet Bolt will be available at dealers nationwide in early 2026.
Chrysler Future Cars
2027 Chrysler Airflow
Had enough of electric crossover SUVs yet? Sorry, we are here to say we are just still barely scratching the surface with the 2027 Chrysler Airflow, the American brand’s newest electric vehicle.
The 2027 Chrysler Airflow is the start of the brand’s plan to achieve a full line-up of electric vehicles by 2028, with the Airflow SUV being the first. With the limited details we have on the Chrysler Airflow, we know it will be AWD and powered by dual 150 kW electric motors in the front and rear. Level 3 autonomous driving capability will be standard, and the expected driving range is 400 miles on a single charge. Will this project ever actually come to life, or will Chrysler only sell minivans forever? Stay tuned for further updates.
Dodge Future Cars
2026 Dodge Charger Scat Pack
Dodge is looking to start 2026 strong with the debut of the latest generation of the iconic Dodge Charger. The first model available will be the Dodge Charger Scat Pack, powered by a 3.0-liter twin-turbo “Hurricane” inline-six engine.
This new powertrain allows the Charger Scat Pack to produce up to 550 horsepower, thanks to 30 psi of boost. This power is managed by an AWD layout that enables a 3.9-second 0-to-60 MPH time. You might think, AWD inline-six muscle car? What gives? Yet, purists fear not, as the RWD-only mode can be switched on at any time. The starting MSRP for the Charger Scat Pack will be $54,995, and two-door models will be available by the end of the year, with the four-door variant arriving in mid-2026.
2026 Dodge Charger R/T
Debuting after the more powerful Dodge Charger Scat Pack will be the Dodge Charger R/T, also powered by the new twin-turbo inline-six engine. While the Scat Pack receives the high output or the “HO” variant of this new engine, the R/T model receives the standard output or the “SO” variant.
The SO variant of this inline-six is still impressively powerful, producing 420 horsepower and 468 pound-feet of torque. We suspect that with a little bit of tuning, those numbers will increase significantly. MSRP is set at $49,995, and the 2026 Dodge Charger R/T should be available in mid-2026.
Ferrari Future Cars
2026 Ferrari Luce
On February 9th, Ferrari gave us an interior reveal of its first full-electric sports car, now officially dubbed the Ferrari Luce (previously the Elettrica). These new details make us even more intrigued by Ferrari’s most ambitious vehicle to date. Its exterior reveal is set for May 2026.
Ferrari took a distinct approach with the design of the Luce’s interior and user interface: clean, simple, high-tech elegance. This design motif comes directly from ex-Apple design chief Sir Jony Ive, whose design firm, LoveFrom, was contracted as the leading force for the Ferrari Luce’s interior. If Apple designed the interior of a Ferrari, this is what it would look like, and we are impressed by the quality of the execution. Ferrari paid attention to the criticism of the lackluster quality of its buttons, dials, and switches, and has taken tactility and feedback to an entirely new level with this interior. It’s safe to say this is the most capable, user-friendly, and high-tech interior ever placed in a Ferrari model. A beautiful blend of Ferrari heritage and cutting-edge innovations, the Ferrari Luce is building up to be one of 2026’s most alluring debuts.
2027 Ferrari Amalfi
The 2027 Ferrari Amalfi is the next great front-engine 2+2 coupe from Maranello, the successor to the Ferrari Roma. Despite the direct lineage of the two models, the only shared design element between them is the front glass. However, mechanically, that isn’t the case. Just like the Roma that preceded it, the Ferrari Amalfi will offer the same 3.9-liter F154 twin-turbocharged V-8 with a little more power than before (631 horsepower vs. 612 horsepower) while mated to the same quick-shifting eight-speed dual-clutch transmission.
Ferrari calls the Amalfi “a blend of modern elegance and performance” and embodies the concept of a modern Italian grand tourer. The Amalfi’s launch color, Verde Costiera, is a brilliant teal color that shows the direct inspiration of the iconic Amalfi Coast in its design. Considering that the exterior displays a true sense of simple beauty, the interior is a bit shocking in contrast. The main controversy is the “dual-cockpit layout”, which includes an eight-inch passenger display, a central display, and an enlarged digital instrument cluster. Long story short, there are just too many screens, and the interior of a Ferrari grand tourer has never looked busier despite clear efforts to streamline design elements. At least there are buttons on the steering wheel again. While its official release date is still not available, expect this “entry-level” Ferrari to be available in 2026 and start around $275,000.
