2026 promises to be a very interesting year for adventure bikes, but 2025 has been busy as well. There were some very interesting new models launched, while some heavy-hitters got significant updates. What’s more impressive about this year is the range of changes that happened.

Manufacturers focused on filling in gaps in their adventure bike portfolio. Whereas, existing bikes got additional features and electronics that gave them a wider appeal. The full-size adventure bikes continued to do what they do and add sci-fi features to their arsenal. On that note, here’s our list of the ten best adventure motorcycles of 2025.

CFMoto Ibex 450

Price: $6,499

ibex 450 CFMoto

The CFMoto Ibex 800 E is a deeply impressive product, and 2025 saw the launch of its smaller sibling, the Ibex 450. This is a newly developed model, and it exhibits all the hallmarks of a CFMoto product: a low price and an extreme focus on delivering value for the price. It has the segment’s only 270-degree parallel twin engine and curved TFT display that measures five inches. In addition, there is switchable rear ABS, Bluetooth connectivity, navigation, fully adjustable KYB suspension, tubeless spoke rims, and an adjustable windscreen all at a price lower than a lot of the competition.

The KLE name is a respected one, so when Kawasaki chose to resurrect it, we knew it had to be a good product. The KLE500 plugs an obvious hole in Team Green’s ADV lineup, offering a modern off-road-capable alternative to the KLR650. It uses the engine and gearbox from the Ninja 500, in addition to a trellis frame, an adjustable wheel, and a 21/17 inch spoke rims. These have tube tires, so more aggressive tires are a mere upgrade away. The SE version asks for $900 more but offers in exchange a TFT display, LED indicators, metal-reinforced handguards, a tougher engine skid plate, and a taller windshield.

Beta

The Alp 4.0 is almost, but not exactly, a dual-sport bike. It can be an ADV as well, because it has a new engine with the legs that will allow some touring while retaining the DNA that makes Beta so good at off-road racing. The engine offers two different engine maps, the ABS can be turned off, and it looks like nothing else on the road. The choice of only a tire-hugging front fender is an interesting design for a motorcycle that obviously enjoys off-road situations.

The X-Cape 700 replaces the X-Cape 650 and brings it in line with its other middleweight bikes, the Calibro 700 and Calibro 700 Bagger. This parallel twin engine is liquid-cooled, fuel-injected, and has a 270-degree crank. It makes plenty of power and torque for the segment, and has some good features to back it up as well. They include tubeless spoke rims, brakes by Brembo, switchable rear ABS, a 7-inch TFT display, and adjustable hand levers and windscreen. It helps that it looks like it is a lot more expensive than it really is!

Honda XL750 Transalp

2026 Honda XL750 Transalp Water Crossing Honda

The Transalp was always a good purchase, but 2025 saw it take a clear step forward. The driveline remained the same, but the suspension was tweaked for a better experience, and it got a 5-inch TFT display with Bluetooth and navigation, a standard two-way quickshifter, a revised windscreen, and newer switchgear that really allowed it to blossom into a one-stop shop for anything you would want to do with an adventure bike. Of course, it retained its great value for money, remaining under $10,000 and offering the most power from an ADV within that budget.

Aprilia

The Tuareg is already one of the more capable middleweight ADVs, but this is a hardcore version designed to truly tackle the dirt. The different suspension spring rates make it better suited to high-speed riding in the rough stuff, the tires and wheels are different for more grip off tarmac, and the APRC electronics suite has different tuning to optimize it for use with these mechanical changes. It has a separate look derived from Aprilia’s racing heritage, so you don’t mistake it for the standard motorcycle.

MV Agusta Enduro Veloce

Price: $16,998

ENDURO-VELOCE-MY26 blue MV Agusta

The Enduro Veloce is THE off-road-ready MV Agusta. It is surprisingly affordable for a premium brand, but it doesn’t skimp on anything that makes it an MV. That means an inline three cylinder engine that spins the opposite way, 124 horsepower, Brembo Stylema brakes, Sachs fully adjustable suspension, and some of the best electronics backed by a six-axis IMU are on board. Also, in its Italian way, it cares two hoots about limiting its top speed, and you can go to nearly 140 MPH on one of these!

The R 1300 GS Adventure is the overlander version of the big GS, and it distinguishes itself by offering the space for nearly 8 gallons of fuel. It retains everything else that we love on the regular GS, including the electronic double wishbone front suspension, single-sided swingarm, shaft drive, and full electronics suite. The liquid-cooled boxer engine has variable valve timing on the intake valves, and an automatic gearbox can be specified as well, but it will cost $28,315 for the upgrade.

The Multistrada V4 Rally is the Italian answer to the R 1300 GS Adventure. It has an equally large fuel tank, an extremely powerful engine, and whatever tech you can dream of. There is a six-axis IMU, TFT display, and two-way quickshifter. The electronic suspension lowers automatically at low speed, and makes it easier to get it off the stand. The engine is a true gem, with the shift to valve springs meaning a valve clearance check interval of an incredible 37,000 miles, and features like rear cylinder bank deactivation.
