Each motorcycle segment out there has a star performer, one that dominates the segment. Among flagship ADVs, it’s the BMW R 1300 GS; among stylish cruiser bikes, it’s one of the Harley-Davidson Softails. Whereas, the Honda Gold Wing comes to mind in the touring segment. However, each of these segments also has a dominating offering that doesn’t get the spotlight for various reasons. This list includes 10 such surprising motorcycles with strong underdog appeal.
This list is organized in decreasing order of pricing, from the most expensive to the most affordable motorcycles that quietly dominate their segments. It is to be noted that due to the limitations of this being a ten-entry list, not every segment is covered; only the more popular ones.
