After all, you can’t beat the swagger of riding a full-faired sports bike and feeling Valentino Rossi in your street. The real riders, however, know that no other category can promise a better balance of real-world usability, punchy performance, and oodles of style than streetfighters. If you agree, and that’s what you’re looking for, these 10 bikes will all serve you perfectly. Oh, and we’ve tried to include everything from small-capacity thumpers to inline-four liter-class machines.

KTM 390 Duke

Power: 44 HP

The under-400cc segment rarely sees aggressive designs that stand out. The 390 Duke, though, has always been an anomaly. With its latest overhaul, the design is aggressive as ever, thanks to a unique LED headlight, sharp tank shrouds that extend beyond the forks, and an exposed aluminum subframe. We also dig the orange trellis chassis, although orange wheels are no longer present for MY26.

Other than this, you don’t have to worry about usability. The new engine is less peaky and more versatile, while the suspension is adjustable to fine-tune the riding dynamics. A big plus is the low curb weight of under 365 pounds.

Kawasaki Z7 Hybrid

This might be a hot take, but we believe the Z7 Hybrid is the most aggressive-looking Kawasaki naked right now. There are a few reasons. Firstly, the front fascia comprises a triple-element headlight housed inside a sporty cowl with edgy plastics and a tinted windscreen. Secondly, there are muscular lower fairings in the belly area, which add more muscle to the design. Neither the Z900 nor the Z1100 has these. Finally, the silver and green colorway feels more premium than any other color option of other Z bikes.

Coming to usability, the Z7 scores really high here. Being a hybrid, you can ride the bike in full EV mode to save fuel in the city. The transmission is also automatic, so there’s no fuss of shifting gears. Its near-500-lb weight might be an issue, though.

CFMoto 800NK

Power: 100 HP

With the 790 Duke no longer listed, the CFMoto 800NK is the next best thing. It’s based on the KTM, so you can expect the twin-cylinder engine to be punchy and versatile for all your street shenanigans. At the same time, most reliability woes are already well-known now (or addressed by the brands). A curb weight of 410 pounds and a seat height of 31.5 inches should further enhance the real-world abilities.

Design-wise, CFMoto paves its own path. The NK takes a loud approach up top, courtesy of the multi-element headlight, gigantic tank, and bulky radiator shrouds. It all slims down towards the rear, which has a high-set exhaust and a swingarm-mounted plate holder. The Nebula Black color with cyan blue wheels is a cool touch, too.

Aprilia Tuono 660 Factory

The Tuono 660 Factory follows in the styling footsteps of the Tuono V4. So you get triple headlights up top, flanked by muscular shrouds with internal air scoops for aerodynamic prowess. Subtle touches like dual-tone saddle, tinted windscreen, red-black livery, and golden forks add to the visual experience.

Coming to usability, this is the Tuono 660’s USP. Its power and torque are spread throughout the rev range, thanks to the 270-degree crankshaft setup. Additionally, the weight is low (399 lbs), and the saddle height is accessible (32.2 inches). Aprilia’s comprehensive electronic aids package sweetens the pot further.

MV Agusta Brutale 800

Power: 113 HP

The Brutale 800 is MV Agusta’s newest middleweight streetfighter. In typical MV fashion, this is a proper head-turner. The oval LED headlight takes inspiration from the flagship Brutale 1000 RR, while being flanked by aggressive air intakes, an edgy top cowl, and sharp radiator shrouds. Upping the suave are touches like the hollow subframe under the seat, triple-tiple exhausts, and sleek tail with no plate holder.

Other than this, MV says the new Brutale is more usable than ever. Its triple-cylinder engine is less peaky and more punchy, while the ergonomics are said to be less aggressive, too. That said, the seat height and wet weight without fuel both seem a bit high by middleweight standards (32.68 inches and 427 lbs, respectively).

Yamaha has always taken a bold design approach with its MT range. And that explains why the MT-09 SP looks the way it does. It’s not aggressive in the traditional sense of the word, but there are edgy elements all over. For instance, the headlight has a Transformers vibe going for it, while the wheels have a contrasting blue finish. Being the ‘SP, there are shiny silver finishes all over, too.

While you may or may not like the aesthetics, you can’t question its real-world abilities. The ergonomics are relaxed, the weight is low (428 pounds wet), and the engine is arguably the punchiest triple in the middleweight space. Speaking of which, you get over 65 lb-ft of torque—almost 10 more than the 765 RS.

In its new avatar, the Streetfighter V2 focuses more on real-world usability than ever before. The weight is lower, the riding triangle is more comfortable, and the new V-twin engine has punch all over the rev range. At the same time, the electronic aids are fancier. So you can dial down the 120 ponies, making the package even more usable.

That might seem non-Ducati-like, but where it still feels like a proper Ducati is in terms of styling. The design elements are sharp, the body panels are aerodynamic, and the hollow swingarm mimics the flagship Panigale V4.

KTM 990 Duke

Power: 121 HP

KTM’s new-age styling isn’t for everyone. But no one can deny its aggression. The 990 Duke is a prime example, courtesy of its alien-like headlight, massive tank shrouds, and an edgy tail section. What helps elevate the experience is the unique livery. The subframe and tank area are bright white, while the bodywork has loud orange graphics for pizzazz. Bonus points go to the integrated tail lamp and turn signal setup.

Besides that, this is also KTM’s flagship middleweight for street riding. The 947cc mill has class-leading torque for max versatility, while the ergonomics enable regular riding abilities. This mill is also in its milder tune here, which should mean less heat and better efficiency. In case you’re curious, the 990 Duke R has the more powerful version of the engine.

Triumph Street Triple 765 RS

Power: 128 HP

The Street Triple has always redefined middleweight naked design with its bug-eyed approach. In its latest avatar, the aggression is at its highest. The dual LED headlights look sleek, while the supersport-style tank shape and sharp tail give it a nose-heavy stance. Sweetening the pot are loud color options (such as Carnival Red and Cosmic Yellow) and attention to detail (such as the bar-end mirrors and color-matched belly pan).

Don’t mistake its nose-heavy with a lack of usability, though. The triple-cylinder engine has more mid-range punch than ever before, and the ergonomics are super roomy by middleweight standards (speaking from personal experience). Fully adjustable suspension also ensures that you can soften the ride for your everyday use, then stiffen it for track shenanigans with ease.
